Warranty
If Returns & Cancellations is for the days right after a part shows up and you realize it is not the right fit, Warranty is for the months after that, once you have forgotten what box anything came in and a part just needs to keep doing its job. Different problem, different page, and a completely different set of rules.
What's Covered, and For How Long
Every case, keyboard, mouse, cable, and cooler here is covered against defects in materials and workmanship starting the day it arrives, the promise that it does not stop working the way it should under normal use. Coverage runs for 24 months on cases and coolers, 12 months on keyboards and mice, and 6 months on cables, no registration required beyond the order number already sitting in your confirmation email.
Filing a Claim
Message our support team with your order number and what is actually going wrong, a photo helps if it is easy to grab one. We aim to reply within one business day, and most claims are fully sorted within a week after that. Still have the original box? That helps for shipping something back safely, but it is not a requirement, we will walk you through packing it safely either way.
What Happens Next
Once a claim is approved, we send whichever fixes it fastest, a repair, a replacement, or a refund, and for most peripherals that means a new unit shipped out right away instead of waiting on a repair queue. Either way, we send a prepaid label first, so return shipping never comes out of your pocket.
What Voids It
Physical damage from drops or spills, unauthorized modifications, and using a part outside its intended purpose fall outside the warranty. Everyday wear, like keycap shine after months of typing or mouse feet losing some of their glide, is expected too and is not treated as a defect. If something feels off well before that point, tell us anyway and we will take a look.
A Few Common Questions
Does the warranty transfer if I sell the part to someone else?
Yes, it follows the part rather than the original buyer. Whoever has it just needs the original order number to file a claim, so hang onto that confirmation email even after the part changes hands.
What if I bought from a third party reseller instead of directly from you?
Our warranty applies to items purchased directly from Alexcomputers. If you bought through another seller, check with them first, though we are still happy to point you in the right direction if you are not sure where to start.
Is a warranty claim the same as a return?
No, and that mix up happens more than you would think. A return is about changing your mind within a set window after an order arrives, no reason required. A warranty claim is about something breaking on its own, with no window at all beyond the coverage term above.
