About

This store started the same way most good ones do, out of frustration rather than a business plan. Alex was building PCs for friends on whatever budget they had, and kept running into the same wall: finding a case that actually moved air, or a mouse that did not feel like a ten dollar toy once it was out of the box, meant checking a dozen different sites and trusting a stranger's review each time. Alexcomputers started as a shortcut around that problem, one shelf instead of a dozen tabs.

The rule that came out of it stuck around: nothing goes on that shelf just because it is popular or cheap to stock. If it would not go into one of our own builds, it does not go into yours either.

What Actually Makes the Cut

We are not trying to carry one of everything. A case, a keyboard, a mouse, a set of cables, a cooler, these are the five decisions that quietly decide whether a build feels great or just looks great in photos, and we would rather carry the right handful of options in each category than a wall of nearly identical ones. For every product that makes it onto the site, a few more did not, usually because they looked fine on paper and fell apart under an actual desk lamp and a few hours of real use.

Who You Are Actually Talking To

If you have read through Contact Us, Track My Order, or Return My Order, you already know the tone does not change depending on which page you are on. That is because it is the same handful of people writing all of it, and answering your messages when you send them. No script, no call center reading from a different playbook than the one that wrote this page.

Same Team, Every Step

You will run into that same rule wherever you look on this site, whether it is a part making it onto the shelf in the first place, an order moving from Order Confirmed to On the Bench, or a return that gets a straight yes instead of a form to fill out. It is the same reason the store exists in the first place, to make building something you are proud of a little less of a gamble.
